FAQs
Here we aim to answer some frequently asked questions.
Which areas does GoVet cover?
We offer services in Kristiansand and Lillesand. Contact us to check if we can come to your location.
Why are your opening hours limited?
GoVet AS is a business I run alongside my full-time job as a laboratory veterinarian. Due to this, my availability is limited, but I strive to accommodate as many appointments as possible outside of my regular working hours.
Do you offer emergency services?
We do not offer emergency services at this time. For urgent veterinary assistance, please contact your nearest veterinary clinic or emergency care facility.
Do you issue prescriptions?
We can issue prescriptions that you can fill at a pharmacy. Prescriptions are only available for existing customers.
Can I request a specific time for my appointment?
Yes, we do our best to accommodate your preferred times. However, the schedule depends on available slots and travel time between appointments. You can book an appointment for euthanasia and health checks through our online booking system.
What should I do to prepare for a home visit?
Make sure your pet is in a calm and comfortable room. If your pet is nervous around strangers, having treats or their favorite toy nearby can help reduce stress. Also, ensure that your pet is indoors during the visit. Make sure there is parking available and that the door is easily accessible.
What if I don't have available parking?
If parking is not available near your home and we have to use a paid parking space, the parking fee will be added to your invoice.
What if my pet is aggressive or anxious?
If your pet is nervous or aggressive, please mention this in the booking form so we can provide guidance on how to prepare. It's best to have someone present who can safely hold and calm your pet if needed. If we are unable to administer the vaccine due to aggression, the full service fee will still apply.
